Placencia Village is surrounded by the Caribbean Sea on the East and the Placencia Lagoon on the West. The Placencia beach is composed of a large grain sand mix and the sea is relatively free of sea grass (however, stormy weather can carry it in on the tide).

The beach is a great place to watch the sunrise, tan, lounge, or even have a wedding! We have two double kayaks available for our guests. Placencia Caye is about a 10 minute paddle where you can find coral, starfish and sometimes manatees!

Snorkeling and diving are best found on the many cayes surrounding the Placencia Penninsula.

Apart from relaxation, traveler’s visit Pt. Placencia for the ultimate diving and snorkeling experience. Running along our Caribbean Coast is the largest reef in the Western Hemisphere.

Another highlight of the southern Belize area are the late classic Mayan sites and Jungle River tours. Most land tours require a minimum of four persons and the Mayan Ruins are a full day outing. Leaving from Placencia Point, the Monkey River Jungle Tour is a great way to experience Black Howler Monkey’s in their own habitats.
If you have had too much sun, we invite you to enjoy our living collection of tropical plants in our garden. This display includes tropical fruits such as mango, papayas and bananas, and plants from tropical and subtropical climates including tropical flowering trees, hibiscus, palms and cyacads as well as many wild orchid species.
